One of my best summers was when I spent three weeks with my aunt in America. She spends her time between Manhattan and Long Island. This was two summers ago now and I get cravings for the dramatically different setting and culture.
Long Island, with it's beautiful creeks, clapboard houses, cool misty mornings, green dew soaked gardens.
The crazy rush and oppressive heat of Manhattan, the pure volume of life and people and movement.
I wish that today I could be on Long Island, swimming in the creek, taking a trip to Kay Kay's miniature organic farm, spending the evening out on the boat watching the sun set over the water.

B&W SLR pics from Long Island. Apologies, my pics of manhattan are on my old laptop.
